KTS Training (2002) Ltd is based in Kingswood and also operates Foundation Learning in Southmead and Yate, with a fourth centre opening in Fishponds Autumn 2011.

Originally formed in 1980 as Kingswood CVS to deliver a range of community based activities to unemployed adults it was purchased by the Bristol Tool and Gauge group in 1991 and renamed Kingswood Training Services and delivery was expanded to offer ICT training for adults and  Administration, Customer Service and ICT for young people.

In 2002 the company was the subject of a management buyout, changing the name to KTS Training (2002) Ltd and since then has gone from strength to strength.

The company’s mission statement, which has recently been reviewed states:

‘The company’s mission is to be a leading training provider within its operating area and to provide a superior service to individuals and organisations via a client centred approach in the delivery of all of our services.’

Since 2002 the company has concentrated on delivery of Apprenticeships and also expanded its delivery of Foundation Learning to 16-18 year olds opening additional centres in Yate and Southmead. This training and development for young people is more vital than ever in the current economic downturn and has enabled us to maintain our excellent progression rates into employment including Apprenticeships and Further Education.

The organisation has achieved various quality awards including Investor in People, MATRIX and the disability symbol accreditation √√ - Positive about Disabled People.

We currently hold contracts for Apprenticeships, Workplace Learning and Foundation Learning.

In addition we have increased our corporate and commercial delivery (see link under Employers).

Our latest Ofsted inspection (June 10) graded us 2 for all key areas.

A leading member of the Western Training Provider Network since its inception we work in partnership with other key training providers and colleges to ensure that we offer an excellent service to both learners and employers.
